Yuukianura aphoruroides - Orange Springtails

Yuukianura aphoruroides are a less common variety of springtails. They are slower moving, do not jump, and breed slower than other varieties of springtails. They make a good cleanup crew that adds a nice pop of color to your terrarium.

Arrival -

The springtails will arrive in a small 2oz container filled with clean sphagnum moss. When your springtails arrive, simply dump the moss in your terrarium, and either mix it into your soil or remove it after a few days once they leave the moss. Remember, always freeze the moss the springtails came on prior to disposal for 48 hours to ensure no springtails get into non-native habitats.

Care -

Your springtails will be happiest at around 72-78 degrees Fahrenheit. Always ensure that your substrate remains moist as these are a tropical species of springtail and need a good warm/moist substrate to thrive.  If adding springtails to a bioactive terrarium you should not need to feed your springtails. However, if you're just keeping springtails you will need to feed them when food has run out. We feed our springtails our food we make in house to ensure healthy springtails and fast reproduction.

Globular Cave Springtails

A unique addition to any bioactive enclosure or reptile feeding needs Arrhopalites Caecus Globular Cave Springtails. Your culture will arrive on our springtail clay that allows each culture to mature and become it's own master culture over time. As the clay dries, it will allow the springtails more places to lay eggs and do springtail things within all the nooks and crannies. Properly maintain your culture and you will have a good supply of springtails when you need them.

Can be purchased in amounts of 50+ or 100+, both amounts will come in 2 Ounce containers due to the springtails small size.

Arrival -
The springtails will arrive in a sealed 2 Ounce deli container. The inside will contain clay where your springtails will breed and live for as long as it is maintained.

Care -

Your Arrhopalites Caecus springtails will be happiest at around 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Always ensure that your clay remains damp, if clay stars cracking too much and falling out give it a very light spray with a mister or a few drops with a dropper. If adding springtails to a bioactive terrarium you should not need to feed your springtails. However, if you're just keeping springtails you will need to feed them when food has run out. We feed our springtails our food we make in house to ensure healthy springtails and fast reproduction. Add just a tiny amount that they can consume every 24-48 hours.

Cubaris Sp. Cherry Blossom Isopods

Cubaris Sp. Cherry Blossom, a new morph in the hobby reminiscent of cherry  blossom trees with a beautiful hue of light pink that slowly fades to white. While they are not extremely shy they are still cautious and not as outgoing as other species. They are fairly easy to take care of but reproduce slowly. Your isopods will be shipped on sphagnum moss with a secured vented lid for oxygen exchange. Every order is prepped with your local weather in mind, we include free heat packs/cold packs when required free of charge. If the weather in your local area is extreme we recommend waiting to order until it is safer for your isopods.

Care Requirements

  • Maintain a consistent temperature range of 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit, ensure one side of the enclosure remains moist while the other side a bit more dry so they can choose which side to be on. A proper moisture gradient ensures a healthy colony. We aim for the humidity in our enclosures to be around 70-80%.
  • Cherry Blossom Isopods eat a diet mainly consisting of leaf litter, decaying wood, protein (freeze dried minnows, fish flakes, etc), along with a few pieces of cuttlebone for additional calcium.
  • We recommend checking on your isopods every 3-4 days to ensure moisture levels sufficient and no unwanted mold is growing on any of the food sources. Keep the enclosure out of direct sunlight or super bright areas.

Pink Cherry Blossom Ramshorn Snails

Pink cherry blossom ramshorn snails are a wonderful clean up crew for your aquarium. They have a soft pink hue adding additional color and life to your aquarium. Our Pink snails have only ever been bred with other pink snails for multiple generations and are fed a fortified diet for healthy development and strong shells.

Arrival -

Your snails will arrive in a small deli cup, inside the snails will be in separate moist layers. Add a small amount of your tank water to a cup, place your snails inside and add a small amount of tank water every 30 minutes for two hours. After this acclimation process you can then add your snails.  If your snails don't open up immediately that's okay, they are most likely stressed and need some time to relax which can take up to a day or two.

Care -

Once acclimated your snails will essentially be maintenance free, Keep water between 65-77 degrees. The more you feed your snails the more they will breed. If you want less snails don't over feed them.
