Product description
Cristarmadillidium muricatum Spiky Pineapple Isopods, a small, shy species of Isopod originating from Spain that make great additions to bioactive terrariums. Upon arrival they will be in a deli container with sphagnum moss and vented lid for oxygen exchange, if needed your order will include a free heat pack or Ice pack depending on your local weather forecast for the expected shipment time. If your local weather is extremely hot or cold we highly recommend that you upgrade your shipping speed for the safety of the Isopods. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Care Requirements -
- Maintain a consistent temperature range of 72°F and 78°F (22°C - 25°C), ensure one side of the enclosure remains moist while the other side should be slightly more dry so they can choose which side to be on. A proper moisture gradient ensures a healthy colony. We aim for the humidity in our enclosures to be around 70% - 80%+ RH.
- Isopods eat a diet mainly consisting of leaf litter, decaying wood, protein (freeze dried minnows, fish flakes, etc), along with a few pieces of cuttlebone for calcium additional calcium.
- We recommend checking on your isopods every 3-4 days to ensure moisture levels sufficient and no unwanted mold is growing on any of the food sources. Keep the enclosure out of direct sunlight or super bright areas.

- Our Isopods ship Monday - Wednesday to avoid weekend delays.
- Isopods are shipped using UPS 2-Day shipping - We always include free heat packs/cold packs depending on your local weather.
- Extra Isopods are always included incase off losses during the shipping process.
Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)
For LAG replacements you must send us clear video of DOA specimens with your username written on a piece of paper visible in the video. You must reach out to us within 1 hour of delivery with the video included. This is to ensure that your order hasn't been sitting out in the sun/cold all day causing the death of your perishable items and ensuring they have been brought indoors in a timely manner. Please send me a message if you have any issues with your order upon arrival.
NOTE: Live Guarantee will be void if you order when your local weather is above 90 degrees Fahrenheit or below 35 degrees Fahrenheit at any point during the delivery period. Live guarantees are always valid on orders that upgrade their shipping speed to overnight or two day air shipping. Any DOA isopods over the amount listed (5,10, etc) will not be replaced as they are extra Isopods included with the order.
