Possibly the best media style to culture tropical/temperate white springtails on. Simply add some water, give a thorough mix, and put into a sealable container of your choice. Our in house made clay mix is designed to provide calcium to your springtails whether it's in the food or not, turning your springtails into a nutrient powerhouse.
Directions for use -
Mix 8 ounces of water per 1 pound of clay powder. Mix the clay until it has a tacky consistency and spread on the interior of your container. 1 Pound of clay should make 12 8 ounce containers or 2 32 ounce containers (deli). Once the clay has been applied, add 50 or so springtails to get the new cultures going.
NOTE: When mixing the clay please mix outside or with a mask on to prevent inhalation of clay particles.
