Cubaris Sp. Red Panda King Isopods, a small, fast breeding isopod that works great as a clean up crew. Their bodies are colored an orangish front and rear with white in the middle. They are a curious isopod, who frequently will approach your fingers to see what they are, then promptly run away. Upon arrival they will be in a deli container with sphagnum moss and a vented lid for oxygen exchange. If needed your order will include a free heat pack or Ice pack depending on your local weather forecast for the expected shipment time. If your local weather is extremely hot or cold we highly recommend that you wait on ordering till it's a bit more safe or upgrading your shipping speed. Please contact us if you have any questions.
- Maintain a consistent temperature range of 72°F and 80°F (22°C - 26°C), ensure one side of the enclosure remains moist while the other side should be slightly more dry so they can choose which side to be on. A proper moisture gradient ensures a healthy colony. We aim for the humidity in our enclosures to be around 75% - 85%+ RH.
- Isopods eat a diet mainly consisting of leaf litter, decaying wood, protein (freeze dried minnows, fish flakes, etc), along with a few pieces of cuttlebone for additional calcium.
- We recommend checking on your isopods every 3-4 days to ensure moisture levels sufficient and no unwanted mold is growing on any of the food sources. Keep the enclosure out of direct sunlight or super bright areas.
- Our Isopods ship Monday - Wednesday to avoid weekend delays.
- We always include free heat packs/cold packs depending on your local weather when required.
- Extra Isopods are always included incase off losses during the shipping process.
